Steve sees a need in his community for handyman services that are affordable, of high quality, with reasonable response times.
Steve really likes performing the handyman services. His customers always smile, are thankful for the affordable price, great quality and reasonable response times.
Steve has enough money in his Jeans to even treat himself out to lunch.
Steve takes out a loan to fix it, not knowing how he will repay it. Even without treating himself to lunch, he won't have enough. He thinks about how to increase his revenue, but doesn't know where to start.
Steve tries to work through this, but the uncertainly about the loan repayment comes through in a moment where he is frustrated on the job site: he receives his first negative review.
Steve wishes he could take some time off, or hire someone to help.

From the start, he understood the value of a team and that the difference he could make in his community would expand greatly. Before hiring his workers he brushed up on management skills and HR policies through a quick course, designed workflows and schedules, and started networking in the community. He also hired someone to take the telephone calls and respond to scheduling email requests. Yes, there was a period of time where he had to do much of the work himself, but he planned ahead, secured his network before starting the business, and had business loan options in place, if needed, that provided breathing room while he established his team, workflow practices, and community network.
